we are sojourn
Sojourn: [noun] \ ˈsō-ˌjərn , sō-ˈjərn \ a temporary stay.
Sojourn: [verb] to live, stay, or tarry in a particular place for a temporary time.
Why the name Sojourn? According to the Bible, this earth is not the true lasting home for any of us. We are living here temporarily. For those "in Christ," Heaven is our true eternal home. We are Sojourners, living as aliens and strangers, awaiting our true home.
GOSPEL. GATHER. SCATTER.
[ gospel ] [ community ] [ mission ]
These are three of our core identities.
EVERYTHING WE DO IS SHAPED BY THE GOSPEL.
WE ARE THE CHURCH GATHERED.
WE ARE THE CHURCH SCATTERED.
In the history of Christ's church, she has always clarified and articulated the gospel, gathered together for community, and scattered for mission.
We are shaped and transformed by the gospel.
We gather for preaching, worship, prayer, fellowship, serving, the Lord's Supper and Baptism.
