Gospel Community = Small Group

Gospel Community is where we:

  • experience transformation

  • care for one another

  • build true biblical community

  • are challenged toward substance over hype

Matthew 28:18–20 [ The Great Commission ]

[18] And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. [19] Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

85-90% of discipleship and spiritual growth happens beyond Sunday Worship services.

Sojourn Church desires to see many disciples multiplied in our local church and launched out to wherever God calls them.

Gospel Communities are a great place for people at any place in their walk with Christ or questions about Christianity to join us in a laid back, welcoming environment in one of our homes.

Gospel Community = substance

Gospel Community is where we discuss the Bible, ask questions on it’s implications in our life, pray for one another, experience community and vulnerability, and grow as disciples of Christ. Our GC’s meet 3 weeks each month.

Gospel Community = fun times

Gospel Community is where we share meals, have block parties, cookouts, and hangout with the purpose of enjoying one another and building relationships.

Gospel Community =

church scattered

Gospel Community is “the Church Scattered” into neighborhoods, homes, schools, workplaces, and communities living with gospel intentionality.

Gospel Community = fun events

Gospel Communities go to sporting events, kids games, performances, and fun city events together to serve and build deeper community.

Gospel Community = serve

Gospel Community is where we join together to serve with opportunities in the community. We have an annual Easter Egg Hunt at Johnson Park on Riverside/Peoria.
