How do we visit, find out more, and get plugged in at Sojourn? 3 Opportunities

1. SOJOURN GATHERINGS (Worship Service)

2. GOSPEL COMMUNITIES (Small Groups)

3. RELATIONSHIPS (Soul Care/Disciple-Making)

1. SOJOURN GATHERINGS (Worship Services)

When: Every Sunday Morning at 11:15 AM

[ Sojourn Kids: Classes Birth--7 yrs old]

Where?  5511 S Harvard Ave, Tulsa OK 74135  (Woodland Acres Baptist Church is letting us use some of their building and space! Click on Map below. Follow the signs on south end of building--meeting in Students Area.)

Yes--We are having a separate Sojourn Gathering (Worship Service) in the borrowed youth area at Woodland Acres Church. Two separate church services under one roof!

What Time?  11:15 AM

Why 11:15? Woodland Acres Church has allowed us to use their Youth area for our Sojourn Gatherings from April thru August on Saturday nights. Since we are still going to be using their space, from the generosity and partnership of their church, we will meet at 11:15 because their youth meet in there until 10:45 on Sundays. They have been more than gracious and generous in helping out a church startup!

Children's Classes?  Yes--Sojourn Kids! We have children's classes for all children from birth through 7 years old that are safe and interactive, with a Bible lesson, snack, and craft.

2. GOSPEL COMMUNITIES (Small Groups)  Wednesday Nights

5:30 Meal Together

6:30 Discussion Over Bible Together

(We meet in one of these homes each week on a rotating basis and a new group launching soon!)

Lynch House:  14337 S 53rd East Ave, Bixby OK 74008

Pack House:   7309 E 65th St, Tulsa OK 74133

Flake House:  8317 S Toledo Ave, Tulsa OK 74137

Mills House:  1567 Southwest Blvd Apt 2F, Tulsa OK 74133

3. RELATIONSHIPS: Meet us for coffee, lunch or dinner! We eventually want to see people plugged into our local body through small groups, life-on-life disciple-making, and worship services. But that can be quite intimidating for new people. That's why we would like to get to know you over dinner, lunch, or coffee together. You can ask questions and get to know us and what we desire to see happen here in our city and abroad.

Is Sojourn a house church?

Answer: No.

We currently meet in homes during the week on Wednesday nights while we plan on weekly Sunday Sojourn Gatherings in October.

We chose to launch Sojourn by starting in the homes of our people to have clarity of Identity and Mission. That means learning to corporately express our love for God, to love one another well (Matt. 22:37-40; John 13:34-35), and to create the future missional DNA of our church together (Matt. 28:18-20; 1 Pet. 2:9-12). We've focused on the gospel, the Bible, prayer, relationships, community, mission, and the New Testament's depiction of the essence of what a church is supposed to live out (Acts 2:42-47, 4:32-35; 2 Cor. 5:17-21; Phil. 2:1-5).

Church "Gathered"  &  Church "Scattered"

So, although we currently meet in homes--we believe strongly in the "church gathered" for worship, preaching, edification, equipping, the Lord's Supper, and Baptism. The "church gathered" will also be our Worship Gatherings in the future.

We also have strong convictions about the "church scattered," where the individual and corporate body of Christ "are the church," living out gospel intentionality through service, life-on-life disciple-making, and evangelism in all areas of the community where people live and work and play.  This includes our Gospel Communities (mobilized small groups).
